Postdoc position (m/f/d)

(E13 TV-G-U)

to study inter- and intra-cellular metabolic communication in a DFG funded research project in the framework of collaborative research center 1531 (https://sfb1531.de). The position is available at the earliest possible date and is initially for 2 years with subsequent prolongation possible. The salary classification is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).

The position requires the following:

  • participation in a research project focusing on metabolic communication between endothelial cells and pericytes
  • prefered candidates would have experience in studying protein-protein interactions, post-translational modifications and epigenetic regulation mechanisms, including sequencing

Requirements:

  • a completed, very good PhD in biochemistry, biology, biotechnology, molecular medicine or an equivalent discipline
  • experience in protein chemistry and the analysis of large data sets e.g. sequencing
  • preference will be given to applicants with expertise in metabolism and metabolomics
  • good self-organization and team working abilities
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
